Jefferson is Candidate for ALA President
Julius C. Jefferson, section head, Research and Library Services Section, FDT, is a candidate for the 2020-21 presidency of the American Library Association (ALA). Jefferson, who began working at CRS as a high school work study student, has been a librarian at CRS since 2005. Jefferson has served on the ALA Council since 2011 and recently completed a three-year term on the ALA Executive Board.
“It is an honor to stand as a candidate for ALA President,” Jefferson said in an ALA press release. “I look forward to being a champion for library workers who should be recognized and celebrated for the value they bring to the communities they serve.”
